boxxe’s partner 8x8 surveyed 500 IT decision makers (ITDMs) in the UK and the United States about Microsoft Teams.  As IT leaders consider how they can get more value from their Teams investments in 2021, here are 5 key survey findings.

Companies will demand more comprehensive communications features with Teams.

of US organisations and 80% of UK organisations are interested in global telephony capabilities.  While Teams currently offers standard calling capabilities, advanced telephony functions with international calling plans are limited, which means many ITDMs consider complementary voice calling solutions.

Organisations are moving en masse to integrate Microsoft Teams with third-party telephony providers.

would expect the third-party telephony provider to offer additional IT administration capabilities for voice services.

of IT decision makers say their organisations are somewhat or very likely to integrate Microsoft Teams with third-party telephony providers.

Communications data, analytics and reporting are key considerations.

of ITDMs agree that their organisation’s CRM systems should be part of a unified communications strategy, and 94% agree that their CRM systems should be integrated with their Microsoft Teams solution.

of ITDMs also agree that all existing business apps should be considered as part of a unified communications strategy and integrated with Teams.

of organisations somewhat or strongly agree that their unified communications strategy should also include the Contact Centre.
