Challenge

The initial project involved migrating 120 users to Office 365 and 23 servers to Microsoft Azure. This required precise planning and execution to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations. Additionally, The Howard De Walden Estate needed support for hardware requirements such as switches, firewalls, and UPS systems.

Plan

The boxxe Group developed a comprehensive plan to transition The Howard De Walden Estate from an on-premise network system to the Azure cloud. The plan included migrating email services to Office 365, upgrading the hardware infrastructure, and implementing a Device-as-a-Service model for laptops.

Approach

The boxxe Group team executed a meticulous IT management solution that began with assessing the existing infrastructure. The approach included migrating host and guest servers to Microsoft Azure, enhancing email support through Office 365, and rolling out HP laptops. Additionally, boxxe provided 24/7 monitoring of Azure servers and managed third-line technical support, allowing the in-house IT team to focus on strategic initiatives.

Outcome

The project was completed successfully, delivering the full transition with minimal disruption. The Howard De Walden Estate now enjoys a modern, reliable, and cost-effective IT environment that supports its diverse business operations. The move to cloud-based solutions and as-a-Service models has resulted in significant cost savings and improved operational efficiency.

I’ve been very happy working with the boxxe Group. They have always tried to do what is required and go above and beyond. I can’t recall an instance where I’ve not been impressed by boxxe's responsiveness and high level of service.
