The Defence team needs to deliver content to end users across the world, rapidly and reliably to ensure that they’re working with the most up-to-date information when carrying out artillery activities whether that’s using, supporting or maintaining them. 

Having worked with boxxe since 2017 the team came to us hoping to develop a unique Content Delivery Platform.

One delivery system for all content

Different teams, with different content – all delivered from the same source. The plan was to build one delivery system for all content, delivered instantaneously to the people that require them, wherever they’re located. 

Requiring security and speed

The team had a couple of requirements, with security and speed driving the project. Housed in a secure vault offering the highest level of protection, the platform would need to source content directly from the publishers, providing end users with a trusted, live, single source of information.

Alongside this they wanted to create a feedback loop, allowing the end users to get information (whether it be photographs or a technical description) back to the server, and the person with the relevant authority to update the publications as necessary.

A highly customised solution

We worked with the Defence Team to develop a highly customised solution. With input from their end users, the Team brought along a comprehensive technical list of their requirements. Together we work our way through the list to create a product that would deliver exactly what their end users had asked for.

Once signed off, we got to work building and then successfully deploying the solution.

Speed of transit, efficiency and reliability

With the new Content Delivery System the Defence team can ensure their end users have exactly what they need, when they need it.

The system is highly available and secure, maintaining live libraries of information ready for end users, without needing an internet connection. There’s no need for end users to sync or update the platform from their own devices, ensuring they can always get their hands on verified, up-to-date content as needed.

As part of the service, we continuously make updates and improvements to the platform to ensure that speed, functionality and resilience are continuously optimised.
