Business Driver

Expansion of the school and investment in a new building had created a demand for new IT equipment.

Challenge

The deployment of new HP desktops, laptops, and SMART whiteboards standardised the technology in all classrooms, ensuring a uniform experience for teachers and students. The new setup reduced boot-up times and provided a consistent interface, facilitating better lesson delivery and classroom management.

Plan

To meet these needs, Cathedral School partnered with the boxxe Group to implement a three-year HP leasing deal. The plan involved replacing old equipment with new HP desktops, laptops, and SMART interactive whiteboards in three phases over consecutive school summer holidays.

Approach

The boxxe Group team took a comprehensive approach to address Cathedral School's challenges. They imaged and asset-tagged all new machines, installed the interactive whiteboards, and ensured uniformity in equipment across all classrooms. This meticulous planning and phased rollout minimised disruption and aligned with the school's budget and schedule.

Outcome

boxxe images and asset tags the machines, installs the whiteboards and has helped the school simplify life for its teachers by ensuring every classroom has identical equipment.

Previously, the school had whiteboards that were different sizes, so the computer desktop appeared differently, and multiple versions of software. The PCs in the classrooms were of different ages, and had different profiles and boot-up times.

The imaging and asset tagging saves time for us and makes our life easier for the school. The boxxe Group manages the timing well of when to ship the equipment to us, and aligns costs with our budget timetable – they’ve always kept their promises. We’re getting a very competitive price.

We obtained multiple quotes, and researched costs, and boxxe came out best – the competitive pricing and the service on offer were factors we considered when deciding the company we were going to buy from. We have an excellent relationship with the team, and when we have questions, they respond very quickly.

Our account manager acts as a good link to HP and SMART, helping those relationships run smoothly. They have never let us down, and they’ve done what they said they’d do. They talk to us like humans, not as if we were strangers.
