Vendors, suppliers, customers - the lot!

As CTO at boxxe, it’s my job to figure out how we bring AI to life for a customer to drive the right outcomes. We’ve already been through various revolutions (mobile tech, cloud computing) but this revolution is particularly exciting; it’s pervasive, all encompassing and everyone can benefit from it. 

This is the point in the revolution at which the world at large comes to terms with the capability of the tech. And as tech transformation specialists, it's our job to help lay out the road map to using, and optimising, AI in the workplace. Here’s what I know for sure:

  1. AI has the potential to transform businesses; streamline processes, make room for creativity and give people more time! Which is exactly what we all lack in the modern world.

  2. As long as people don’t understand it, AI will have a bad name – there’s a barrier of common understanding we need to get over in order for it to succeed. 

  3. The capability that’s required to bring transformative AI to customers is not possible by just one partner – it will take a village.

  4. The only way for AI to work properly, and add value, is through bringing quality data to AI models.. 

  5. In the same vein, protecting that data with advanced cybersecurity measures will become more important than ever. 

Here at boxxe, we’re working with our partner ecosystem to enable, implement, solve and deliver all of the above.

And that’s where it’s most useful. So, talking to our partners and spending time with industry players is crucial to mapping out its place in the working world. It’s important to see what’s being talked about – what products are coming out? What are the trends? What do the thought leaders say? What are the challenges our customers are facing?

Then it's a case of talking to our cutting edge tech partners like Nvidia and Dell Technologies to look at their vision and products, and how they might inform our solutions.. With this kind of insight and expertise, we’re carefully bringing a comprehensive, future-facing AI strategy to life.

It’s easy for people to say ‘we’ll do everything.’ But boxxe is clear about what we can do, and what we can do with our partners when it comes to AI.

Because in reality, the capability that’s required to bring transformative AI to organisations is not possible by just one company. If delivering the best customer outcomes is our number one priority (and it is!) then we’re going to use our expansive arsenal of people and resources to make that happen. We’re building our village, bringing vendors and partners together to deliver what’s needed for customers. 

Data science partners, storage vendors, data centre providers, public cloud partners, business analysts… We’ve got some great partnerships already, but we’re always open for more, always open to make the connections needed to fulfil every customers’ requirements. Our bottom line? We think AI has the potential to transform businesses. But what does that actually mean? What can you expect from boxxe?

Despite the bad press surrounding AI, it’s not here to steal our jobs. AI can actually give our jobs back to us, taking on the mundane, repetitive tasks in our workloads so we can actually work on the bits we’re best at – the creative, interesting, high-level, human stuff. 

Automate the mundane tasks, improve the efficiency of low level tasks, streamline processes and you’ll free up people’s time – to increase productivity, revenue generating activities and overall job satisfaction. It could be something as simple as asking AI to retrieve information about a set of data across multiple pieces of documentation. Or using it to summarise a meeting and create action points for you to work on. 

It’s important to note that the utility of AI very much depends on the data you feed it. As we mentioned at the start, the only way for AI to provide accurate information and add real value in the workplace, is through quality data. It must be collected, organised and stored in the right way, to get the best results. Good housekeeping is vital!

Across the sector, many security vendors are integrating AI into their products to strengthen their defences.

However, AI isn't just a tool for defence—it can also be a target. Bad actors can exploit AI, so it's crucial that customers not only prepare their cyber defences for these emerging threats but also consider the risks of data poisoning, which can significantly alter AI outputs. This manipulation of corporate data can steer a company’s decision-making in a dangerous direction, posing a serious threat to any business.

AI’s ability to scour data centres and generate decisions or alerts is unmatched by traditional automation or human efforts. While experts are still needed to verify and resolve threats, AI significantly reduces the repetitive workload, allowing teams to focus on more complex challenges. 

Since AI sprung onto the scene, boxxe has stood back to let the earth settle. Now we’re ready to make our move.

AI has become a major focus for us and a significant part of our strategic efforts to continue delivering human-centric tech transformations. We’ve always nurtured strong working relationships with our vendors and customers, and will continue to do so to help AI find its home in the workplace. Bringing AI and all of its capabilities to our customers will be an interesting journey, but with so much expertise, tech and experience at our disposal, it's one we don’t have to do alone.
