How organisations are preparing for the next phase of innovation
There’s no doubt that the way we work is changing. Whether it’s switching from physical servers to cloud computing, optimising office space and cost with workplace management software, or automating your cybersecurity measures — the workplace has gone digital. And it’s only going to get more efficient, productive and cost-effective from here.
Generative AI is leading the way
With benefits like increased efficiency, enhanced accuracy and stress reductions being touted, GenAI promises to redefine how you and your employees interact with tech to complete tasks.
Forget the days of scrolling through pages-long email threads on Outlook to find the information you need. Forget furiously scribbling down notes during Teams meetings. Or staring at a blank Word document waiting for inspiration to hit. GenAI-powered tools like Microsoft’s Copilot suite open up a world of productivity, in an accessible, cost-reducing and easy-to-use format.
Because valuable digital transformation doesn’t have to be complex; it just has to be useful and easy to adopt. So, when you combine the incredible cognitive abilities of AI with the intuitive design of Microsoft’s applications, that’s exactly what you get; a seamless way for AI and humans to collaborate, to help you work smarter, not harder.

So, the real question is; are you ready to adopt GenAI, and embrace the next phase of the workplace evolution?
Our research suggests that perhaps you (and many others!) aren’t quite there yet. In a recent poll we asked you to rate your organisation’s readiness for digital transformation on a scale of 1-4 (4 being fully prepared), and the results were pretty insightful:
29% gave a rating of 1.
29% gave a rating of 2.
43% gave a rating of 3.
And 0% gave a rating of 4.
Although a significant number are in the planning stages of digital transformation — given the high percentage who voted for 3 — but no one feels truly prepared. We’re not so sure that’s actually the case, since there’s a difference between feeling prepared, and being prepared. So, we’d like to dig deeper and help you establish what ‘being prepared’ and ready to adopt new tech, like GenAI, really means.

6 ways to test your Generative AI readiness:
Security Readiness
Consider the following: do you have strong authentication methods in place? Advanced threat protection tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems and an incident response team.
How do you prevent unauthorised access to sensitive data? And do you regularly assess the overall health of your security posture?
Data Readiness
What measures do you have in place to protect data from breaches and ensure privacy compliance? Things like encryption, access controls, comprehensive GDPR or CCPA protocols.
Is your data well-organised, accessible and useful? Is it categorised, standardised and validated?
Data Governance Readiness
How do you handle your data? What data policies, standards and procedures do you have in place to ensure consistency, quality and security?
Who is responsible for your data? Have you designated ownership or stewardship to specific individuals or teams to ensure data is maintained, accessed and used appropriately?
Compliance Readiness
How well do you understand your legal requirements and regulatory standards? Do you have comprehensive compliance frameworks in place to meet them?
Change management Readiness
What strategies do you have in place to manage changes to new processes, systems or organisational structures? This could involve developing clear communications plans, providing regular updates to stakeholders, or setting up training programs. And then monitoring changes by analysing usage and gathering feedback.
Licencing Readiness
How do you make sure you have the right software and services to support operations and initiatives? Do you regularly evaluate and analyse your SKUs and make upgrade plans? How do you strategise and forecast for future needs?
